Included in the estate papers of Samuel Rosebrough in Rowan County,
North Carolina February 16, 1824
Know all men by these Presents, that we William Price & John
Maxwell are held and firmly bound unto Chs Fisher, Jacob
Fisher & Jno McClelland Esquires. and the rest of the Justices
assigned to keep the peace for Rowan County, in the just and full sum of
two hundred & fifty Pounds current money of the said state to be paid to
the said Chs Fisher, Jacob Fisher & Jno McClelland or their successors:
To the which payment well and truly be made we bind ourselves, our
heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by
these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 16 day of Febry
Anno domini 1824.
Wheras the above bounded William Price [Rosebrough?] hath
been this day by the worshipful Court of said county, appointed guardian
("guardian underlined") to Margaret, Thomas, Sophronia,
Samuel & Alise Rosebrough, orphan of Samuel
Rosebrough deceased; Now the Condition of the above Obligation is such,
("Now the Condition of the above Obligation is such" underlined) that if
the said William Rosebrough Guardian as aforesaid,
shall well and truly discharge his said guardianship, by taking care of
and improving all the estate belonging to the said orphan, and shall
also settle his guardianship accounts with the Court of said county, as
is required by law, and that he will deliver up to the said Margaret,
Thomas, Sophronia, Samuel & Alse Rosebrough, orphan as aforesaid,
when they shall attain lawful age, all such estate as they ought of
right to be possessed of, or sooner if required, agreeably to the true
intent and meaning of the act of the General Assembly in such case made
and provided, then this obligation to be void; otherwise to remain in
full force and virtue.

Division of the lands of the estate of Samuel Rosebrough,
deceased, 3 November 1833.
State of North Carolina, Rowan County, Pursuant to an order of Court 1
November 1833, We the undersigned, coming together with William Barber,
Surveyor, have alloted and divided the lands of the estate of Samuel
Rosebrough, deceased, in the following manner to wit:
Lot No. 1 to Polly (In the original document to the right of
respective divisions exist a Rosebrough, containing drawing of the
divisions, This drawing is included in our Larson 22.97 Acres - valued
at source.) $90.-- and is to receive from No. 5 the sum of $10.--.
No. 2 Containing 26 1/2 Acres valued at $92.-- and is to receive from
No. 5 the sum of $8.-- To Samuel Rosebrough
No. 3 Containing 31 1/2 Acres valued at $96.-- To Sophronia
Rosebrough and is to receive from No. 5 the sum of $4.--.
No. 4 Containing 32 Acres, valued at $100.-- To Silas Phifer
in the Right of Margaret Turner.
No. 5 Containing 32 Acres, valued at $122.-- To Benjamin Huie in
Right of Thomas Rosebrough and he is to pay to No. 1 the sum of
$10.--, To No. 2 the sum of $8.--and No.3 the sum of $4.--, The lots,
bounds, courses and distances as represented by the above draught. - -
